BPM's Reading Series is San Diego-based spoken word variety show.
We feature emerging and established authors reading or performing unsettling works of horror, fantasy, speculative fiction and true ghost stories.
Note: Our debut event, scheduled for 10/24/15, has been postponed.
We'll post notice when another date has been finalized.
Interested in Participating?
We're looking for short works (complete pieces or self-contained excerpts) that can be read aloud with feeling and a flair for the dramatic. Reading slots are about 15 mins max, so keep that in mind when choosing and submitting material.
We appreciate a variety of horror and dark fiction (including dark fantasy
& sci-fi, Gothic and contemporary horror) and black comedy. Please read our magazine to get a feel for our preferences and review our guidelines before submitting your work. Erotica must have a horror component or eroticism must evolve naturally as a component of your story.
Are you a cool artist, musician, singer or performance artist who favors weird and spooky stuff (whether lighthearted or serious)? Send links to your work and let us know what sort of performance you’d be interested in sharing with our audience.
